2. ACT教学法
简述:  The Meten ACT Approach
1> Audio-Lingual (AL): Multimedia learning system, AV class, morning reading class are designed to cater for the tremendous need of language input on the part of Ss.

The Audio-Lingual Method, or the Army Method, is a style of teaching used in teaching foreign languages. It is based on behaviorist ideology, which professes that certain traits

of living things, could be trained through a system of reinforcement—correct use of a trait would receive positive feedback while incorrect use of that trait would receive

negative feedback

2> Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): Private class, Salon class are the core competitiveness of METEN English by offering face-to-face interactions with native speaker

in small groups of 4-8.
1. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is an approach to the teaching of second and foreign languages that emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal

of learning a language. It is also referred to as “communicative approach to the teaching of foreign languages” or simply the “Communicative Approach”
2. As an extension of the notional-functional syllabus, CLT also places great emphasis on helping students use the target language in a variety of contexts and places great

emphasis on learning language functions. Unlike the ALM, its primary focus is on helping learners create meaning rather than helping them develop perfectly grammatical

structures or acquire native-like pronunciation.
3. This means that successfully learning a foreign language is assessed in terms of how well learners have developed their communicative competence, which can loosely be

defined as their ability to apply knowledge of both formal and sociolinguistic aspects of a language with adequate proficiency to communicate.

3> Task-based Learning (TBL): All Complementary and Activity classes are centered around TBL to ensure maximum learning experience through Ss active participation.
1. A communicative task is ‘a piece of classroom work which involves learners in comprehending, manipulating, producing, or interacting in the target language while their

attention is principally focused on meaning rather than on form.  The task should also have a sense of completeness, being able to stand alone as a communicative act in its own

right.
2. A task is a workplan, a task involves a primary focus on meaning, a task involves real-world processes of language use, a task can involve any of the four language

skills, a task engages cognitive processes, a task has clearly defined communicative outcome.
